Hi I put a thread up a out passports it's been a week naw and still ain't heard there is proof from tracking that delivered and signed anyone else applied recently. I'm getting impatient naw I know it's part of the Application waiting but I do need my passport unexpectedly soon as circumstances have come in the family with poorly relatives. When I'm phoning they said you just need to be waiting for them to get scanned but it seems they not getting scanned reading things online that people sending them in getting scanned next day o two unless that a different part of the service my actual application hadn't got opened yet as it was a paper copy sent with all my documents in there also. Done with list office check and send. Any help o advice anyone thank you and sorry for the long winded message

I think you just have to be patient. You can get a same day passport if you're desperate but it'll cost you.

You've sent it off, it's tracked as delivered, you'll just have to wait, it's not a busy time of year so you'll likely have it back soon.

When I phoned they said they extremely busy for this time of year

I think as I've got added pressure it's making it worse tbh, know part of it is waiting but it's just too much for me at the moment

There's not a lot you can do tbh without throwing a lot of money at a fast track or same day application. You'll just have to be patient.

Have you had an email to say they've received your old passport? I applied on the 17/1. Email to say they received my old one on 22nd, approved on 24th and received my new one yesterday. So 12 days in total.

Just seen you applied by paper copy so that could well be why it's taking longer.

Once you have sent everything, there's absolutely nothing you can do to speed the process unfortunately.

It's a bit like sending something by post - once it's gone, you can only wait!

It's only been a week I think you do need to just be patient.
I got one for my DD last year and it did stay on "delivered" on the tracking for a while then all of a sudden it was done and sent back in a couple of days. The whole thing took 10 days so it was quicker than the time they said to allow.

Yes I'll have to be a bit more patient

I applied online sent old one back next day recorded,then got my new passport took 6 days husbands took 7days

Im.on day 3 on waiting to scan documents so should here soon I should imagine well hope so
