Hi, I have a question about free 15 childcare code. I received the code and ask childminder if she has a space for my son, but she said that first need to check if code is valid because period is closed and council will not pay and she will accept my son on April when period will be opening. (My son received the code before 13 January I should reconfirm it every 3 months, why code would be not valid, why need to check it i don't understand ), please help me out, thanks

How old is your child and what month did they turn that age? They would only be eligible for 15 hours before April if they were eligible by 31 December I think.

My son on may will be 2 years, but I received code for 15 free hours childcare, I applied it before 13 January this year.

I think you would have had to apply by 31 December to get this term. My daughter started getting 15 hours from January but I had to apply months ago. So your code will be valid from the next term, starting in April.
