To think VAT on kids’ bras is out of order?

I took my DS to M&S today for a ‘first bra’ fitting. It was great, very helpful, excellent experience for her. I learnt that teen or ‘first bras’ are cut smaller than regular bras to accommodate their small frame-perfect.

BUT I then discovered that VAT is added to these (after I made a flippant comment along the lines of ‘great idea kids get different range, and that will mean no VAT is added’). I’m gobsmacked!

Please tell me I’m not being unreasonable?

Write to your MP. This is so wrong; just as vat on sanitary protection was. Time to change it. They are still clothing, it’s not a luxury item and the girls concerned are still children.

I think anything bigger than a 32" chest is vatable. It isnt just bras- it is all kids clothes
