To ask you to sort out my summer holiday!

I'm looking for a holiday preferably self catering with pool near sandy beach and walking distance (up to 20 mins) from a lovely old town. Villa or apartment complex. Or hotel if everything else ticked! Got older teens who aren't looking for lively nightlife but happy to wander round, eat at local tavernas and hire a pedalo/swim/sunbathe. Would like to avoid 'popular Brits abroad' resorts and happy to hire a car and explore. Recommendations of resorts and accommodation would be very gratefully received as I am not having much luck finding what I want. Budget £5-6K for 4 of us.

Croatia - Have a look at Supertar. Fly to Split. Get ferry there and back. Beach is pebbly not sandy though.

Greece - Stoupa would work. Not a beautiful old town but Kalogria beach particularly gorgeous.

Turkey - Tamarisk Beach Hotel - right on the beach. £5 taxis to Bitez or £10 to Bodrum. Very low key. Fabulous hotel with delicious food right on the beach with amazing swimming and small water sports centre.

Villa Olive - Villas for Rent in Paphos, Konia, Cyprus - Airbnb - 10 min walk to a lovely village with restaurants, tavernas etc, 10 min drive to beach (that also has watersports if you fancy that), 10 mins drive to Paphos city centre and the villa has it's own pool.

Fuerteventura maybe. My kids called it Future Adventure land and so I have to think really hard for the real name. My girls went off to a local cocktail bar some nights. Me and hubby did our own things most days. Not too sure where they got to but I think public transport must have been good.

Try port de pollensa in Majorca. Look on air BnB for accommodation.

Sitges in Spain (half hour from Barcelona airport) is beautiful x

I agree that Stoupa is nice - we went last year. We've lived in Greece and found the tavernas in Stoupa the best!

Also recommend Koutouloufari in Crete - we absolutely loved it.

Valencia in South East Spain is a coastal city with a beach so the best of both worlds.

Korcula (island off Dubrovnik). Stay in Dubrovnik for a couple of days then a short hop to Korcula on the catamaran. Incredible beaches, delicious food and not too busy (the city is, but it's worth seeing - the island is INCREDIBLE).

There are a number of lovely hotels and resorts on the island worth a look. The whole place is breathtaking.
