This woman is posher than the queen, she talks as if she has a plumb stuck in her mouth, and is very rude and outspoken imo. She is also very loud and in your face and my 3 year old daughter is terrified of her.
Anyway my daughter has a speech disorder and is having speech therapy. this woman has met her a few times and always asks how her speech is comming along but as I mentioned Lucy is scared of her and never speeks to her.
Today my mother in law asked me to pop round to her house to ask for a bit of sugar. She asked again how Lucys speech was going and I said cheerfully, yes it's getting alot better and she's doing really well, she then said is that only with family because I've never heard her speek when she's spoken to. She then said that "you would have thought that with the high quality education she's recieving that they would teach her to answer when spoken to".
I was so anoyed! she is only 3 and is at a nursery atached to a private school, but why should that matter? I didn't want to make it awkward for my mother in law so all I said was "I'd better get back to Lucy now, then said good bye.

Return her sugar to her with a nice dose of epsom salts in - that will teach her to talk crap!

You did the right thing. It's very hard to bite your tongue sometimes - I'm very good at not doing that - but in the end these people are not worth battling with. She sounds thick. Good for you for holding it together, who cares what she thinks?

Is her surname Bucket?

miserable cow. the neighbour, not you. I agree with tearing - not worth expending mental energy on explaining your DD"s language disorder to her, as god knows whether this woman has the emotional intelligence to understand why what she said was so crass and hideous.

The thing is, she thinks she's soooo intelegent. She went to a top private school and thinks she's it really.
