Sorry for such a specific thread that only a few would be able to answer but can anybody provide any insight into Weatherhead High School?

Id always thought it was a decent school but finding lots of stories of bullying.

If you have experience of the school would you send your daughter there?

NC for this.

They used to have a terrible reputation for bullying years ago. They were on a different site then, though, and with a different Headteacher. There was a court case in 2001 (link below) where a past student sued the school for bullying - the case failed but local people talked about it and the consensus was that the judgement was wrong. My daughter's 35 and I wouldn't send her there because of their reputation for bullying - this wasn't as a result of the court case as we were considering the school earlier than that.

My son went to the sixth form, which seemed fine, but is run by a different team. I was very impressed by them. He wasn't aware of any bullying in the school.

I've just googled it and it does come up quite often. Which other schools are you considering?

St Mary's potentially but that is requires improvement and need to read the Ofsted report to fid out exactly why.

Bullying really stands out to me because DD has had problems like that before and I just dread bullying in secondary school.
