Could natural cycles not of picked up ovulation peak?

I’m new to this so please bear with. I came off of the mini pill on the 26th of December as myself and my partner wanted to start trying for a baby. I had withdrawal bleeding for a week. I started taking my BBT with NC from the 6th jan.
It predicted my ovulation and that came and went and I never peaked on LH strips but thought perhaps I hadn’t tested frequently enough and didn’t have many other symptoms of ovulation. Anyway, I was approaching when NC predicted my period was due, I experienced lots of egg white mucus on the Friday for a few days and it became thicker and more stretchy (sorry, too much info!) the following day my bbt dipped then day after that it’s risen but not enough for NC to say I ovulated. I am now 5 days late for my period and I took pregnancy tests on the day I was due and they were negative. Is it possible that NC haven’t logged ovulation as my bbt didn’t rise as much as most?
its also saying that I’m on cycle day 50 something which is incorrect as I was previously on the pill.

It can take a while for your body to settle down after being on the pill.

Have you tried a pregnancy test more recently? As PP said it can take a good amount of time for your body to get back into a rhythm after the pill.

Unfortunately nothing is 100% EWCM will appear with rising LH is it nev3r a sign O has occured only that the body is gearing up for it. So you can have a lot of start and stop and failed ovulation then a break through bleed. A bleed is sometimes due to buikr up and not because ovulation occured. All very confusing. But this early on take it as practice.
My BIL is an OBGYN and he says first 6 months no tracking and after that then start tracking if you want to do that. Also google Sperm meets egg programme very helpful.
After a few months you should notice a pattern. But coming off the poo some women it can take 12 motnhs to reguoate back to normal. Some it is 1 month. It varies we are all different.
