I accidentally nipped my three year old’s fingers in our French doors yesterday. They are slightly bruised but no cuts. I have felt terrible since - I apologised, gave lots of cuddles and she is fine but I just feel terrible that I hurt her. I know it was an accident but still, it feels awful. What I cannot fathom is how parents willingly hurt their children, even that done on the name of discipline. I really can’t and don’t understand how a parent could do that to a child. There has to be something deeply wrong.
