Goods refund??

Hi, a friend (honestly) bought towels which after washing before use unravelled on one edge before using.
On return was offered replacement or money back.
If wanted replacement had to pay extra 20 per cent as when bought with shop reduction. Is that right

No I don’t believe so - they are entitled to a like for like replacement, refund or repair

Unless the towels were only reduced because they were faulty, then they are entitled to a full refund or replacement.
