Hi all, I have been homeless for a year now, currently in temp accomodation. I have been placed on Locata since march 2024 and placed at band B.
For most of the bids, I am shortlisted and always shown over 20… which i assume will take some time to get close to any.
This week I recieved an email from my council informing that my application has reached the verification stage and I need to send documents.
An hour later I recieved an email from a housing association informing me of being nominated by my council for a property (and added the address in the subect line) and so they need me to fill out their housing application form and send some documents too.
I emailed the council’s verification team to get some insight and they told me i have been shortlisted and they cannot tell me my
position or what property and i should fill out the housing associations form as they have their own process.
please note that this property has not been listed on locata, or one I have bid for.
Any idea, if i will get it or if there are other people who are also being looked at? Do housing associations usually contact applicants and ask them to fill out their forms before the council has completed verification checks.
