What does he like doing?

There's loads of fun days out to be had, but what does he like?

An afternoon tea? A safari/animal based thing? A racing car day? A football tour/experience? Rug making? Glass blowing? Theatre trip?

British Grand Prix.
Hot air balloon.
Raymond Blanc cookery school or similar.

What’s he into?

Depending on budget/where you live/what he likes to do???

-An experience type day. Zorbing, car racing, gliding, sailing or flying a plane experience
-A restaurant of some sort. A themed one like the Fawlty towers experience, Dans le noir, a murder mystery where you all get dressed up in the theme
-Yo sushi cooking lesson. I still make sushi after doing a course many years ago. BBQ cooking lesson- although maybe not so interesting for the younger kids.
-A night away somewhere or a train/car journey within the UK someone different? Different city, the coast, Scotland, Wales, London?

Ooh, have been having similar thoughts tonight - I split with my fiance a little while back but we have been talking, which led to a weekend together last weekend and another planned for next, plus a few others dates in the future - we are getting back on terms and I feel hopeful and excited. It's his birthday in April (late 40s and I am going to ask if he would like to spend it with me, and if so, I would like to plan something exciting and special.

Trouble is, we already have a sporting event and a theatre trip planned, and they would be my go tos. Unless I can find a gig he would enjoy, I was thinking maybe a night in a nice spa hotel (I believe he would be up for this tho we haven't done it before), as long as I can find a dog friendly one.....

Would a spa day work for you and your family, OP?

For my husbands 60th, I did monthly presents for a year. His birthday is on 21st so on the 21st of each month, I gave him a present. Some months it was something very small. Then maybe cook a special meal then another month a day out somewhere. All surprises and you don’t have pay out lots all in one go.

Depends where you live obviously but hire a canal boat for the day? Or a river cruise (we live in a city but there is water and mini cruises available)

Hire a cottage with a hot tub and have a walk then a games night and hot tub

I was also going to suggest something similar to golden girl: 50 activities in a jar, some involving the children, some just for tbe two of you, some maybe just for him
