Does menopause cause digestive issues and ulcers

Hi,
I just want to know if anyone has had stomach ulcers and digestive issues and are perimenopause or menopausal ?

I started with acid reflux during the perimenopause and took omeprazole for several years. I am post menopause now and no longer need to take it.

At the time I didn't think it was associated with the menopause. I had an endoscopy to rule out any nasties and it was clear.

Perimenopause. Mouth ulcers monthly, before period. Stomach definitely windier than in my younger years.

Thank you for replying. I am having digestive issues and am post menopausal now. I'm really worried about it 😕

While I wouldn’t say yay or nay about you specifically, menopause does seem to bring on issues that are new to you (and I can include GI tract stuff here).

It seems to me some things appear, hang around for the process and then fade away while other things have to become your new normal. You only find out what’s what after sufficient time has gone by. And as things change with menopause, sometimes you have to make changes to cope with your changes.

I know menopause really sucks. It's absolutely awful and brings on some horrible symptoms I am dealing with. Thank you for replying. God bless you 🙏

I am glad to hear you are feeling better now. I am having a horrible time and hope it will pass like yours did. Please pray for me 🙏
