To ask you to help me find my style

I've always liked a certain way of dressing - not sure how you'd describe it but dungarees/overalls, big bold fleeces and printed tops, chunky trainers, think Charlotte from the Traitors a little bit. I love Lucy and Yak and suppose dressing like an overgrown toddler is the best way to describe it!

But I've never really need confident enough to carry it off fully. I own a few pairs of dungarees but I've never committed to the look for fear of looking daft. Since hitting 40 I no longer care and really want to embrace the styles that I like, regardless of what anyone thinks.

So could anyone give me any ideas where to start? I do love Lucy and Yak but can't afford to buy a full wardrobe from them. Any other cheaper but similar places I don't know about? Thank you x

No advice but you might get better luck posting on the style and beauty board.

This! Well said @Snoopysimaginaryfriend

the Style and Beauty boards get dozens of post replies a day. Plenty of traffic. AIBU is not “Mumsnet” in its entirety.
