My friend is Italian, but lived in the UK for 8 years prior to 2020.
His father died and he has to return to Italy to support his mother who is elderly.
this was a week before we left the EU, he was so depressed and needed to support his mother at the time, he didn't apply for the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS). Now his mum is settled he really wants to return to the UK to continue his life.
I have looked online and it states that appeals can be made for late filing. Does anyone know if this would be reasonable grounds for appeal?
