I’ve just got one, I’ve watched the videos, but I can’t get it to wrap my hair! I don’t understand, how is something that blows out air, supposed to pull hair towards it? Its just blowing my hair away!!

Have you watched any TikTok? That’s how I learned to use mine. You can change the direction of the air depending on which side of your head and how you want the curl to go

You have it facing straight upwards behind the piece if hair you want to curl, and the hair will wrap around it and then when it does, leave it for a few minutes and then gently pull it downwards and curl will appear, you need to keep looking at the videos, takes a while.

There should be two little arrows on the end of the barrel, have you tried turning the nob at the top of it to be at the opposite arrow?
It's one way for one side of your hair then swap it over for the other side. Changes direction of the flow so it pulls the hair instead of blowing it away.

I thought this might be an update on the great wedding theft of 2024 and now I’m devastated.

Hmm, maybe I just need practice! I’ve watched a lot of TikTok’s, but they just show the hair being magically grabbed by the wand, not blowing all over the place. I’ll experiment with the arrows, thank you.

Are you holding your hair out and holding the barrel near the ends of your hair? Is your hair practically dry which massively helps, you aren't drying it as much as styling it. I have the older model with the changing barrels. The best person I saw for how to use it was Fleur De Force on Youtube.

The air blows out and the air flows around the barrel meaning your hair is pulled against the barrel too. Small sections, practically dry hair. This video starts at her showing you how to do it.

@Hotandbothered222 I found it helped me so happy to share. If your hair can curl but doesn't keep the curl then you need styling product in your hair. For me that is a texturising spray and also a heat activated styling spray. The first one gives the hair volume so my hair looks thicker even without the curling, the heat activated spray helps it stay curled. I don't section my hair just do what Fleur does but I wish I had her hair, so lovely.

Which products do you have? A texturising spray sounds good. I used John Frieda’s volumising mousse this morning - will be interested to see what it’s like by the end of the day.

If it’s just blowing your hair away then you’re either holding it wrong or the section of hair is too big.
You need to hold the piece of hair about half way down so you can control how the ends wrap around the wand.
