Bit of a boring one I guess. I'm gonna get the snacks in for me and dd as the coverage starts at 3.30/4pm (UK obs)

I love to watch stuff like this, makes me feel connected to the world 😅🙈

Plus I wanna see if anyone slips up and let's their face show their real thoughts

Plus I'll be making comparisons between barron and Gary barlow's giant son

I don't care if he cares about it, I just want him to do it.

My point is, you might be disappointed. He’ll say one thing, the next hour the opposite. If it doesn’t suit him he’ll not do it. We’ll see.

Biden looks like he has parkinsons.

Also if Trump is the 47th president then how is it the 60th Augrounation ?

I assume because some presidents do two terms and they don’t count each one separately.

Watched a bit with the telly on mute. Cos it's part of history and I wanted to see I haven't woken up in a nightmare - well, I have!

One great thing about muting a programme, you see their expressions much better.
The Bidens were smiling - hurrah! Free at last!

Couldn't bear to look at Trump but did see Melania scowling......

I think they just want their freedom as well - now their crimes are absolved, they'll go on to live a quiet life

I had his rally on in the background yesterday & had to turn it off as it was bonkers! No doubt his inauguration will be too. Phrase of the day on here for me is “Orange Hitler”. As I said on a pp, that’s hilarious & terrifying in equal measure.

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 20/01/2025 17:04

How many of trumps insane promises did he fulfil in his first term?

It's very religious, we don't have that in the UK do we.

We do.

Our head of state is the monarch and the coronation was very religious.

TokyoSushi · 20/01/2025 17:05

Very jolly singing!

MsGoodWife · 20/01/2025 17:05

I just switched on. It's almost comical, if it wasn't so impactful for the rest of us.

3floofs · 20/01/2025 17:05

Stranger and stranger to watch

Usha has silver streaks. I approve of that. Glassy smile but good hair.

I can't stop smirking at Melania's hat.

Clearly Melania’s hat worked well at deflecting his attempt to kiss her on her cheek!

Cremeul · 20/01/2025 17:06

@user09678 no UK Prime Minister has ever been invited to a presidential inauguration.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 20/01/2025 17:06

Trump the Musical!

crumpet · 20/01/2025 17:06

I’ve just turned it on. Has Trump pinched Claudia’s lipstick?

Clafoutie · 20/01/2025 16:56

Trump doesn’t care about any of these issues. He says what he needs to in order to get elected. Now he’s looking for enrichment and revenge. Nothing more.

Many of the kids he separated from parents at the border and put in cages were never reunited. How anyone could think that the convicted felon and sexual abuser who is ‘leads’ the party responsible for removing women’s reproductive rights cares about women and children needs their head testing, although it’s too late for that.

Sickening to see the Tech Bros sucking up to Trump

Not a back bone between them!

HoraceCope · 20/01/2025 17:07

just waitingn for village people, YMCA

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 20/01/2025 17:07

As awful as he is, trump is one funny guy

I too would stand like he is, in front of my enemies, while I get anointed president

CheesecakeOnTheLanai · 20/01/2025 17:07

It's all getting a bit strange now, not quite as strange as seeing Trump dancing to YMCA yesterday, but still.

RabbitsRock · 20/01/2025 17:08

NooNakedJacuzziness I would not be surprised if that appears on Broadway!

BarbaraHoward · 20/01/2025 17:08

User09678 · 20/01/2025 17:01

And Starmer wasn't invited to this one. That's another first for the UK.

No it isn't. Confused No UK PM has ever attended. Confused

Edited

He did put immigrant children in cages so he kept that one. And he said men should grab women by the pussies and got a sexual abuse conviction so I’m saying he did quite well.
