All inclusive hotel in Spain.

Fancy dress competitions for kids and kids club for general ents etc discos

Some of the male hotel guests putting on drag acts as evening entertainment

Two pools - one indoor / one outdoor

Sharing a dinner table with another guest couple at the hotel

Space invader machines /Pac Man etc

Pool table

VERY predominantly British guests

Hotel is right next to a beach

Plenty of cafes and bowling alleys near by for entertainment

Nice ‘bar’ area where you can also get drinks like milk shakes etc

Courier service so you have the option to go on day trips etc

Hotel guests in general are a bit ‘Phoenix Nights’ iyswim

So, what’s the verdict ?? Y Viva Espana?

I’d rather stay at home, as that sounds like the antithesis of a good holiday for me and my family.

Oriunda · 18/01/2025 18:34

I'd absolutely hate that, but we don't do AI/package hols etc so we're not the target market.

Parker231 · 18/01/2025 18:34

No - I don’t generally like an all inclusive - prefer to eat in local restaurants. The only one we’ve done is one of the Ikos resorts in Greece (it was amazing)

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 18/01/2025 18:35

That sounds horrific.

Everythingisnumbersnow · 18/01/2025 18:35

No this sounds like hell (not metaphorically, actual hell)

curious79 · 18/01/2025 18:35

What do you like? It’s my idea of hell but could be another person’s heaven

ohtowinthelottery · 18/01/2025 18:36

That's about as far from the type of holiday that I'd book as you can get.

SweedieLie · 18/01/2025 18:36

You're asking this on MN 😂

Unless you're planning a bespoke, cultural, ever-so-speshul-and-different trip to somewhere off the beaten track, you'll get 100 replies of 'sounds ghastly dear' 😂😂

purpleme12 · 18/01/2025 18:37

Apart from the drag acts which I wouldn't choose and the having to share a table with other people (but why would you have to?) it sounds enjoyable

But I don't know what you mean you say 'it's a bit phoenix nights'

Gymmum82 · 18/01/2025 18:38

It’s not something I would actively choose. But we like AI holidays so would make the best of it. Probably wouldn’t go to the drag act and definitely would avoid sharing a table at dinner. But otherwise it sounds pretty ok

Bjorkdidit · 18/01/2025 18:39

No, because I like to be out and about for lunch and dinner and have a la carte service at tables outside so that type of holiday would be very expensive and we'd need to buy lunch while out for the day. So I wouldn't book it as its not the type of holiday we like.

CarolNoE · 18/01/2025 18:39

Is Tim Healy, the actor, on holiday? Sounds like an episode of Benidorm lol

FionnulaTheCooler · 18/01/2025 18:39

The entertainment sounds a bit shit if it's just hotel guests doing it rather than professional entertainers. I would be insisting on not sharing a table with randoms in the dining room, nothing worse than feeling pressured to make boring small talk. The indoor pool would be a plus, we stayed in a Spanish hotel a few years ago that had one and it was great not having to worry about sunburn plus it was heated which the outdoor pool wasn't. I do like an all inclusive with kids as the constant drinks and ice creams start to add up in cost otherwise.

WellsAndThistles · 18/01/2025 18:40

I would rather spend 2 weeks in prison.

SoozyWoozy5 · 18/01/2025 18:40

My worst nightmare but horses for courses and all that..

CryJustALittleBit · 18/01/2025 18:41

Poppyseeds79 · 18/01/2025 18:25

Did you have kids with you?
Right next to the beach is a tick for me

Yes kids

I woyld not enjoy that type of establishment, but plenty of people would love it.

CryJustALittleBit · 18/01/2025 18:43

Headstarttohappiness · 18/01/2025 18:26

No. I’d rather decorate our kitchen.
Each to their own though.

You don’t sound sure tbh!

Ok - I admit when I usually type ‘lol’ I’m never actually laughing out loud. But when I read this post it really did make me laugh out loud 🤣

Holidays are really individual taste so I’m guessing some people would enjoy it, others wouldn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

would you enjoy it OP?

Yes I’ve been on it and I did

OP posts:
BCBird · 18/01/2025 18:44

Grim. It doesn't matter if I'd like bit though, the question is would you?

CryJustALittleBit · 18/01/2025 18:46

shinebrightlikeanemerald · 18/01/2025 18:31

I would (and have) endure it if I was going with extended family and all the kids got to play with each other.

I found Center Parcs a struggle. Disney a struggle. But the kids loved doing stuff like this.

Edited

Ah I’ve never been to Centre Parcs

I’d find a forensic audit of my function more relaxing.

SheridansPortSalut · 18/01/2025 18:47

Nightmare

MyrtleLion · 18/01/2025 18:33

Are you asking because you want to go or are you asking because you're turning your nose up at it?

Asking because it was the best holiday I ever went on and I just wanted other people’s opinions

YouAgainDamnIt · 18/01/2025 18:49

No thanks. I don’t mind an all inclusive but choose carefully.
