To block or not to block on Tik Tok

A few months ago I opened a Tik Tok account. After a couple of weeks I started posting and to my immense surprise my videos have done really well. I've had a "viral" got an increasing number of followers and most of the posts have a great number of views, but above all a lot of engagement and many really lovely comments.

However......I've just seen that one of my followers is copying my every post. The image, the captions word for word , the styling, the music and it's absolutely a blatant copy of my content.
By now I'm well aware that on TT everyone copies each other and jumps on trends, but without being too specific my stuff is personal and I really felt that part of the
" success" was my creativity.
I'm surprised at how angry it's made me that this girl is liking all my posts and then ripping off my ideas.

It is all just for fun. I don't sell or promote anything and have no intention of monetising. I only post a couple of times a week and I enjoy the process of making my videos and enjoying a little " success" within my niche. I'm an older poster, 57. No desire to be an influencer, know it's all superficial and temporary and if it all ends tomorrow ( which it actually might 😂) I'll look back and think it was cool for a while and won't lose any sleep over it.

But, I'm conflicted and want to hear other opinions..while I'm effing annoyed and want to tell her to do one and block her CF copycatting ass so she can't see me any more...... part of me feels mean. Should I just accept it and leave it be?

I'm being Unreasonable...there's room for everyone. Stop being petty, TT is superficial stop being ridiculous, stop thinking about it and get on with your life

I'm not being unreasonable...It's annoying and not flattering.Block the cheeky cow, if she wants to increase her views let her get her own ideas and stop stealing mine.

I’ve seen this happen before, and IMO a good way to deal with it is to call it out politely but firmly.

Are you making money from it? Is she jeopardising that?

Even if you’re not it’s still a pisstake and I’d call it out!

I love tiktok, and I’m also really nosy - pm me who you are! 😬

TikTok is so very weird and vacuous. I have an account as my niece is an influencer (who makes an absolute fortune out of it). She’s the only one I follow, but I see other content and bloody hell, there are some nutters on there.

I keep seeing posts by an unfortunate woman who has cancer. Had actually, as she’s just died. I’ve been incredulous at the number of people that post HER content when they don’t even know her. And they do it to say how terribly sad they are. Half of them can’t even be bothered to spell her name right in their sad fake crying posts. The more I see on there, the more I realise there really isn’t much original content - most of it is just copying crap or posting other people’s.

If you block this silly moo, you’ll only get others doing the sane as her. I think you have to accept it’s all part of the inanity.

Is it possible to put a little transparent watermark with your username across the middle of your videos?

I’d block her without a second thought.
