On the back of the other thread, clearly!

Mine:

Terrible management
Boring work
The actual takes are mostly futile

OP posts:
DangerPigeon · 16/01/2025 20:06

Consistently too much work
Too little support
Too remote from the rest of my team

Crikeyalmighty · 16/01/2025 20:13

@Letlooseonthedanse I once worked in a HR type role with mainly make middle aged management consultants and all the puffed up corporate bolloxspeak used to really grate on me as i like plain speaking

Crikeyalmighty · 16/01/2025 20:19

@summer3219 yep those are familiar in quite a few roles I had years ago before working for ourselves- you explain why something is a bad deal, a poor contract or hasn't worked out in the past due to xyz - and then they want you to do the post mortem and sometimes be the scapegoat when indeed it doesn't work

LoopyLoopyLoo · 16/01/2025 20:22

Can I add more ...

No annual leave availability
No pay rise this year
Serious lack of confidentiality - everyone finds out everyone's business because the management can't keep thier gobs shut. We all know why Gill left at short notice, why Brian is off sick, Why John was called into the meeting room of doom and why Sarah was late 3 days last week.

Bonjovispyjamas · 16/01/2025 20:23

Nitpicking boss

Underpaid

Bored

lechatnoir · 16/01/2025 20:31

Crap pay
Boring
No chance for promotion

BUT I have the nicest colleagues and boss, totally flexible in terms of home /office and hours, joined them because it's a cause I'm passionate about. Im giving it another 6 months to see seeing last Dc through GCSEs & hopefully sort peri symptoms.

pinkroses79 · 16/01/2025 20:34

Monotony
Not enough money
I don't like working anymore!

ChangeEmailAddress · 16/01/2025 20:36

Sheep
Winter
Lambs

WonderingAboutThus · 16/01/2025 20:45

Little chance at promotion as I am a woman and also not from the right family (very very nepotistic field).

Not enough time with my kids.

Senior exec hiring in consultants to build a new strategy who have taken negligible input, made up the numbers and it's received as though they've invented fire.

Now it's gospel and utter bollocks to boot. We now have to implement "our strategy" and will presumably be exited if we don't deliver the undeliverable or show any cynicism re its achievability.

Underpay (massively)
Overwork
Unfair pay in relation to another set of colleagues (school support staff v teachers)
