Do you not like it then ? Go back and tell them you don't like it like this and you want it touching the roots .

BobbyBiscuits · 15/01/2025 21:00

I like the colour but yeah, it just needs to roots more done.

spoonfulofsugar1 · 15/01/2025 21:03

That is not a stretched root, it is not blended enough. You need to go back and get them to fix it. Get some pictures from google of what a stretched root looks like. The whole point of the stretched root is so its low maintenance and looks okay when its grown out, but that just looks like a strip of roots regrowth.

Letlooseonthedanse · 15/01/2025 21:04

Ask to fix it if you don’t like it? Looks fine to me but I’m not good with this stuff!

SauviGone · 15/01/2025 21:15

I'd go back and ask them to fix it.

That's not a stretched root, it basically looks like 6 weeks regrowth after highlights.

They need to stretch the roots out the same length again at least, and blend the blonde in much more.

3luckystars · 15/01/2025 21:17

I would be more concerned with your eyebrows. They really stand out. Could you get them tinted maybe?

MJconfessions · 15/01/2025 21:19

Omg this happened to me recently. I’m seeing another stylist to correct it next month because I lost faith that my stylist can do it properly. It does look like you need your roots doing, even though it’s freshly coloured

Iloveyoubut · 15/01/2025 21:22

Your overall colour is gorgeous. It looks like you are on the way in to get your roots done. That’s not a stretched or a smudged root. I’m not sure what they’ve actually done to the roots at all tbh but like I say your actual colour/highlights are beautiful.

😂😂😂 I thought you were being a bitch for a second! That’s briliant! 👏👏

PlateOfFer · 15/01/2025 21:25

That is not a stretched root and there is a clear demarcation line. It needs blending much better than that. I would be asking for it to be corrected.

DeffoNeedANameChange · 15/01/2025 21:26

Fwiw I understand that the inch at the roots isn't quite what you wanted, but your hair looks really and thick and shiny, and the colour is lovely. I would defo swap your "disaster" for my hair even on its best day!

CulturalNomad · 15/01/2025 21:34

I really love the overall colour! As others have said though that is not a stretched route (or it's a poorly executed one). Just go back and have them fix it.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 15/01/2025 21:38

This looks exactly like my hair colour, but when I choose to just have the roots done. Depends what you paid. Roots cost me £38 and my highlights £75

😂😂👏

Greyish2025 · 15/01/2025 22:22

It’s not blended enough at the front on the right hand side of the photo but it Dosen’t look awful, I personally don’t like it when all highlights go as far as the root as it looks to unreal, a bit of root is fine

Sunflower8710 · 17/01/2025 01:06

Any professional hairdresser can offer advice please 😢

PotaytoPotahhto · 17/01/2025 01:18

That’s definitely not a root stretch, and if the hairdresser did one then it was done badly. The whole point is that it’s meant to blend in so that regrowth isn’t obvious - you’ve got a very clear line between the two colours!

JandamiHash · 17/01/2025 01:25

Well I wouldn’t be happy that they’d put a big heart cartoon with eyes on my face.

JandamiHash · 17/01/2025 01:26

Joking aside is stretched root the same as a root drag OP? I had one once and it was very much not a root drag.

Im not a hairdresser but it looks like it needed a toner on it.
