DD attends a school after schools club - general arts crafts, play based activities. Paid for separately as an extra provision and supervised by classroom assistants. I generally pick child up a little earlier as I go straight from work ASAP. A few times I have attained assistants are standing around talking and children are going wild but I’ve thought I’ve just come at bad time. Today however my daughter was packing up her things, she had quite a few things out as she was doing homework and she does take her time to get scarf etc on. One of the duly assistants rolled her eyes at the other as she helped my DD. DD is 6 if that makes any difference. I didn’t say anything - just thanked at handover and left but I just get the vibe of complete non professionalism and I am not impressed.

Sounds like our after school club to be fair. I just take it with a pinch of salt - as long as no one's getting hurt a little bit of 'wildness' is par for the course after school! And they could've been rolling their eyes over anything.

At the end of the day they're on low wages and although I'd expect them to keep DS safe, professionalism isn't really something I expect. If I wanted that I'd be paying 3x the cost to a nanny. I don't think complaining would get you anywhere.

Unless the eye roll was alongside a comment like "come on Little Hillary, you're so SLOW" it might not have even been about her

I don't think you can complain about an eye roll as it's subjective. And these groups are not classes so it generally is a bit more free flow. If you are not keen she doesn't have to go. Also bear in mind the TA's often do not get paid for these groups but are expected to do them nonetheless
