Not reciprocated visits

Bit fed up shelling out thousands of pounds every year visiting parents abroad to have them not visit us. Lovely to see them obviously, but they have no intention of coming back to UK to visit us. Quite costly every year with two kids. Tempted to give it a miss for a few years to see if they make the effort.

Go for it.

My PIL moved abroad when our children were young. We couldn't afford to visit every year so we visited once every few years. PIL rarely came to the UK. I don't see why you should have to visit them every year if you don't want to.
