Ibiza or Menorca?

If you've been to both which did you prefer and why?

We will have 3 dc ranging from toddler to 13.

Not fussed about an action packed holiday, we like to do a bit of walking around but generally spend time on the beach or by the pool. As long as it's not totally remote with no shops or anything. Went to Santa Eulalia in Ibiza a few years ago but never been to Menorca.

Would love to hear opinions. Thank you!

I love Santa Eulalia! I really liked cala en Bosch in menorca. 10 mins on the bus to the lovely old town of cuitadella which is a must! Cala en Bosch itself has a beautiful beach, a small waterpark, lovely marina and plenty restaurants. I went with my teen and he really enjoyed it. We stayed in a hotel overlooking the sea/entrance to the marina and watched all the yachts coming and going from our sun loungers!
I just generally love the Balearic islands though so am happy in any of them Grin

If this is for the summer I found Ibiza really expensive - especially the flights. It might not apply if you're buying a package, but it's worth checking. Ibiza is generally busier too. Menorca is quieter and more laid back. Fewer rowdy people on the plane too.

I prefer Ibiza but agree time of year potentially relevant. When would you like to go?

Another vote for Menorca such a great laid back family friendly island 99% of the resorts are lovely we’ve been to Punta Prima a few times( handy for a bus trip into Mahon) & lots of other pretty bays nearby also Cala en Bosch is good the only resort that wasn’t keen on was Cala Forcat.

Menorca when DC were KS1 ages, Ibiza now they're teens. I like both islands, we've been to Ibiza the last 2 summers but both are lovely.

Menorca is lovely. Quiet but in a good way. Variety of resorts which would probably suit you so have a walk round on street view before you book. As pp suggested maybe Cala en Bosch. Would also suggest you have a look at Cala Galdana. Not sure if car hire is an option for you but it’s very affordable. Have you considered Majorca? If you need to go during school holidays it might be a cheaper option?

We are not exactly party animals but found Menorca a bit quiet.

Menorca. Loved Cala Galdana, Punta Prima and En Castell with littlies.
