No plan for future

My father lives in USA. He has a large house, but no income, no pension (only state pension) and modest savings. He’s getting frail and really needs to sell the house. I’m annoyed privately with him he’s not planned for his future more and fear it will be left to me in UK to pick up the pieces.

And your question is?

Should I leave him to it? Or do I start getting more involved now to secure his future

You’ll have to see what they have out there in terms of social care for the elderly . Once you have that information, he could potentially downsize into supported accommodation with their support.
