Worried about my sibling. He takes Valium, codeine and Parkinson’s drugs to stop dystonia. He always sounds a bit drugged up when we speak on the phone. He lives in USA and seems to have different Dr’s for different drugs.

Try not to worry about him. I have morphine patches, pain tablets and anti spasmodic medication. My family say my speech and eyes give it away when I have upped the dose and the gait gives it away when I don't take as many.

I am sure the doctors in the US will have advised your brother that taking painkillers and other meds helps his condition but the side effects of the drugs can be as bad as the original problem.

Its tough if you are not in the same country as him but my advice would be to just be as supportive as you can be whilst he combats the drug side effects
