Jeans for long torso, apron belly and short legs.

I'm looking for jeans that will cover my long torso (presumably high-waisted) and are cut to fit my apron belly and hips while being flattering.

Do let me know if anyone has any favourite brands. I've looked at M&S Lilly jeans but will need to try them on.

My budget is low/high - just as long as they fit and look ok.

Thanks

I have a very similar shape. Stumpy fat legs, but long body, and an apron belly.

I got a good pair from Tesco about 2 years ago. I think they were called boyfriend jeans. High, elasticated waist (but still do have a proper zip and button for appearances sake), with plenty of room around the tummy and thighs.

Because they're elasticated up top, they've done me from every size from a big 12 to an average 16.

I have an awkward shape too and I recommend going to M&S because they have a huge array of styles in all sizes, so you can try things until you find a flattering fit.

Arket have some really nice options. Their Cloud jeans would be really flattering for your shape. Super soft and comfortable, come in different washes, trendy cut and I think they are on sale at the moment.

I'd go in the M&s as you've said - they do good higher waisted cuts.

Ooh, that's me! 5' 5", 28" inside leg, and a horrifying amount of loose skin after significant weight loss.

For skinnies, my ride-or-die is Topshop Jamie jeans. They come in different lengths and even do an "hourglass" version to accommodate hips.

I really like the slim ankle grazers and slim mom from Tesco. I buy the regular length as they are shorter than normal jeans.

I like the mom jeans from M&S but haven't had much luck with any of their slimmer cuts. They have all been quite thin or really stretchy, sitting weirdly and giving me a baggy pouch/crotch.

Recently, I was pleasantly surprised by a pair from New Look. They are high waisted, sort of slim mom jeans and sit really flatteringly on me. I think they are called Tori. They even look good in dark blue, which is rare for me; last time I tried on dark blue mom jeans, DH said I looked like Jim Royle 😂

I'm pretty much the same shape and I really rate the M&S Lily jeans. They are my absolute go-to.

BashfulClam · 13/01/2025 11:27

Asda wonderfit. They are made of elastic denim so they pull you in, I have a two size difference between my waist and hips, thanks to my huge arse. These fit in both waist and hip as they stretch over my big arse. Otherwise I’m hauling them up constantly .

I got a good pair from Simply Be .. AVA

I'm long torsoed and can recommend the M&S "Magic' Lily ones. They come in 3 lengths. They are quite wide waisted, I need a belt (and I am not wasp waisted!😂)

I am the exact same shape and also have thick stumpy legs

I have these jeans and they are good. Not my favourite but I reckon they will be better with shoes rather than boots.

I also have ivy super soft . These are skinny but I love them. I also have super skinny and they are great.

I got them all off vinted.
