For being upset DH lied to DSC about watching a TV show with me?

Not sure if it's pregnancy hormones/IABU!

Me and DH started watching a series that while not inappropriate for a 12 year old child, would be very boring (re a political and historical event). The first episode we watched while DSS was in the room. He seemed disinterested unsurprisingly and kept himself occupied doing other stuff.

For the following few evenings me and DH have been watching 1 episode of said series together when kids are in bed. It's been the most we've spent time together in months, and I've been looking forward to it very much.

Today the series came up in conversation, and DH mentioned which episode we were at within earshot of DSS. DSS then asked DH whether or not he'd watched it alone or with me, and my DH lied and said alone. He didn't want to admit to DSS that we were watching the series at night after he went to sleep.

Am I right to be a little upset with DH by this?

Why did he say he watched it alone? That seems a bit strange.

What?! Why on earth did he lie? Why shouldn't you be watching it with him?

YANBU. Is DSS jealous of you and DH spending time alone without him?

Are you the poster with the DSS who interrupts every adult conversation?

Stupid, unnecessary lie.

Seems he's being a tw@t.
