DH coughing all over

I want to caveat this with I know I have a bit of health anxiety, I'm 9 months pregnant and it gets worse after I give birth.
Getting a cough is my current worst nightmare.
My husband and I don't share a bed anyway. He has a cold and what sounds like a chest infection, which he's prone to.
He's just come in my bedroom as I'm sorting baby clothes out, coughing and spluttering, then got in bed and hid under the covers from our other kids. All the while coughing all over.

I haven't said anything but I really want to strip the bed and wash my sheets, I can't do this without him noticing because I literally did it yesterday...

YABU - he was just playing with the kids, leave the sheets.
YANBU - he should be more considerate that I don't want to get ill when I'm just about to give birth, change the sheets...

To add he also thinks I'm just "crazy" when it comes to health stuff. Which perhaps I am and usually I can keep a lid on it but this close to having a baby I'm definitely hyper aware.

You are overreacting and sound like you have massive health anxiety and sn OCD like irrational response to germs.

You're massively over-reacting. Your children can pass on germs too, you know. As for wanting to change the sheets when you only did that yesterday - 😮

I would be a little annoyed, and I have no health anxiety. I went into labour with my last baby full of cold and was quite rough after the birth as a result.

However, I wouldn’t go as far as changing bedding. Just me being a little grumpy at the inconsideration.

Other posters are right - you can catch germs off the kids too, but they’re too young to know better. DH does.

As above, but EWWWW SPITTY COUGH SHEETS

I would change them

I thought I was but just needed some clarity so thanks - I'll spray a bit of Dettol on them...which is probably worse to breathe in but will make me less anxious ha

Like I said I've usually got a bit of a handle on it and haven't actually said anything to him.
It started when I had a 6m old during COVID...weirdly not about COVID... and got much worse when my second was born.
Thanks folks, clearly I just need to calm down and get on with it. He is minging though 😂
