To think I'm perimenopausal

I'm 39, I had my 4th baby last February and since her birth i have noticed small changes in myself. Generally mood swings, occasional night sweats, more intense pms symptoms like cravings which I never had before I had my daughter etc. But nothing severe. Today I woke up feeling extremely warm, not sweating just boiling hot. Its lasting all day. My husband noticed it too, said I felt like a radiator he was so confused lol. I also feel exhausted today. I'm wondering is this perimenopause? But then when I Google hot flash it says they don't last all day.
But perhaps its just post baby, I know it takes a long time for your body to balance itself after having a baby, and this is my 3rd baby in 4 years so perhaps that is what im experiencing not menopause?
Also just for interest what are others first experiences of menopause and thoughts in general. I feel its a bit of a taboo subject and I don't feel informed at all so I want to try and learn more. Thank you 🙂

My first symptoms were increasing PMS which turned into rage, and heavier more frequent periods.
Ive never had true hot flushes, I just get very hot in the summer if I have a hot drink.
If you’ve been hot for so long, are you sure you’re not unwell?
And it’s not taboo, the more we talk, the more we learn.

It could well be. And the perimenopause can be quite subtle at first and just feeling ‘off’. I know for me, inner rage at the smallest things made me question what the hell was going on. Any changes to your periods?

I’d also consider having your thyroid levels checked.

I’ve never had a flush either but I’m on HRT now so perhaps I’ve managed to avoid them 🙏 I completely identify with the rage, it was horrible feeling like that.

Maybe but it could just be post baby hormones, I'd give it another few months or so before coming to any major conclusions. While I'm a big supporter of women being knowledgeable about the menopause in the recent burst of information about the menopause and perimenopause it seems like women are putting everything and anything down to the menopause when it could well be other things.

This is me at the moment, literally having two periods a month and absolutely fucked off with it already 😭
Being a woman is awesome but also really fucking shit.

Also “The Rage”, plus anxiety and heavier more painful periods. It’s been a real blast!!
