I’m in a mood. What should be banned (lighthearted)

Fucking door knocking charity callers. Why is it allowed? It’s intrusive and I bloody hate it.

Pink deodorant - always cloying and horribly floral.

Having to refill rinse aid

I think the menopause is hitting hard today.

Yesterday driving home -in the dark- two cars were without lights , their drivers blithely ignoring the other cars flashing or tooting at them.

I don;t want to ban cars but c'mon , we should be able to ban drivers who are completely clueless to their surroundings and other cars

People who just do not care what their cats are doing to wildlife and the ecosystem.
They are genuinely doing serious damage and owners need to start taking responsibility.
It is NOT, in any way, natural, part of the "circle of life", nor is it adorable.

AntiSocialSocialClub93 · 04/02/2025 19:33

parents/ carers who bring their snively, runny-nosed toddlers to playgroup when they’re ruddy well clearly contagious still!!

GingersOwner26 · 05/02/2025 00:42

Articles in the tabloids about "eleventy six miles of snow covering the UK, 48 hour snow bomb!" How many times has any of that ever actually come to pass?

fixingmylife · 05/02/2025 04:26

WhatsApp groups with people saying silly things for attention, combined with crying laughing emojis and serious information for work. Light-hearted but they are winding me up. Also family WhasApp groups. Just having a rant, but they are driving me crazy.

pestowithwalnuts · 05/02/2025 07:04

Cod
Generalisations...example..."we all love a pantomime "....er no we fucking don't.
Old folks..mostly at Christmas who see their mates in a supermarket and must stop for a long catch up in the middle of the ailes...There's a coffee shop over the road...get in there you loose lipped buggers

Naga Munchetty

Itchiness...anywhere...anytime.

Chuggers who shout " don't you like dogs madam " and then looked shocked when I say ,no I hate 'em
(I don't )
Those stupid vids of women who have to wear their sleeves almost to their nails..

Coat hangers in a tangle...knotted up by the very devil himself

Dresses that you can’t do up at the back without someone to help you. I am 46, I should be able to dress myself.

Guessing you’re a full grown man who’s a fussy eater 😆

Full grown woman with a robust appetite, sorry!

Can I add to that, garments that can be got on without help, but not be got off again. You end up needing two strong people to assist you, one to push from one end and one to pull from the other.

I've lost count of the times I've almost dislocated my shoulder blades or pulled a muscle trying to extract myself from an item of clothing that was impossible to remove once on.

Abit, alot, would have, could have, should have.

Bluevelvetsofa · 05/02/2025 12:56

According to a 16 year old, joggers are no longer a good choice.

Young men, wearing baseball caps with a hood over the top. It always makes me think they’re trying to hide something.

Take away fish and chips
All chips unless fried at home
McDonalds
Drunks

Take away fish and chips

You need to tell us what happened to you to make you want to ban this institution! Sitting on the beach wall, watching the waves, eating fish and chips from the paper. Why would you ban that? Why? WHY?! 😱

MoonlightMemories · 05/02/2025 15:24

Gastroenteritis/stomach bugs 😭

CruCru · 05/02/2025 18:24

Acronyms like “SMH” - mainly because I didn’t know what they meant for ages and thought a load of people were just going “smuh” at each other.

CruCru · 05/02/2025 23:29

Also, hyperbole. Threads with titles like “AIBU to be completely devastated by this?!?!?!” which are actually about someone leaving it too long to return a dress to the shop.

CruCru · 06/02/2025 10:00

Runners who insist on running in areas which are very busy or crowded. Outside a central London tube station at rush hour? Definitely a sensible place to run. Extra points if you huff at the people who are inexplicably in your way.

Marine30 · 06/02/2025 10:35

People who flagrantly abuse the disabled parking badges (someone is giving them out like sweets in my city) and could basically back flip down the road if they wanted they’re that far from disabled.

TigerRag · 06/02/2025 13:15

Extendable dog leads

Idiots on mobile phones not looking where they're going. Stopped and stepped to one side and still got walked into.

blobby10 · 06/02/2025 15:28

I'm very grumpy this week so:

Young people from the local college who HAVE to walk 4 or 5 abreast and always expect me to stop/move over to accommodate them.

Trout pouts/ski jump upper lips on younger women - I hate the pressure these ladies are under to conform to a 'perfect' look from social media Sad
My bloody dog who keeps raiding the bin every time I leave my office - she's only just started doing it so I suspect its some form of protest at being left for five minutes when thinks she ought to be in my presence 24/7

The weather - we've had two gorgeous clear days of sunshine albeit rather chilly but will be back to gloomy grey depressing skies for the next week.

Latenightreader · 06/02/2025 15:39

The weird shaped challenge badges from Rainbows. They are made of thicker material than the regular interest/skills badges and I'm convinced I'm going to break the needle with every stitch.
