Cough on Exercise and Drinking could it be Asthma

My little boy is nearly three and for quite a few weeks now he has a constant little cough that happens around every 30 seconds when he exerts himself or has a drink. Obviously we haven’t avoided the usual winter germs but this still happens when he is well. He also yawns a lot in the same period of time as if he can’t complete his yawn. He always seems pale and overtired. I have contacted the GP who advised it can’t be asthma because he doesn’t wheeze or cough through night. I don’t think it’s anything severe but I do want to find out what it is. I find it difficult to trust the GP’s because they told me he didn’t have CMPA because his skin was too nice. We had our first 5 months destroyed. Eventually they agreed to test him.

Could it be acid reflux?

I wouldn't have thought taking a drink would affect asthma. A cough for a few weeks could just be a cough but the drinking thing is weird. PP may well be on to something re reflux.

@curtaintwitcher78 @BarbaraHoward Would it not happen through night when lying down if it’s reflux. Good suggestion though. Something to look into. Thank you.
