Thoughts on this name?

My DD2 is due in March. We are thinking of the name Willow Ann or Willow Anne. Any thoughts?

Willow is one of my favorites.

Willow Amelia was on my baby list.

I'm Toastycat-Ann, and I always get asked if it's Ann with or without the e, but if it's her middle name, she might not be asked.

Either looks fine to me, although I'd say Ann.

I'd say Anne with an E just because of my love for Anne of Green Gables.

Unfortunately Ann makes me think of American baby girl naming trends like GraceyLynn and BayleyAnn etc

Just to check, are you asking about giving her the first name "Willow" and the middle name "Anne" or "Ann"? I think that's a lovely name - personally I'd go for Anne with an e, just because it's the more usual spelling.

Or would "Willow Anne" (or "Willow Ann") as a compound name be her first name? I'm not a fan of compound names, but it's none of my business!

My daughters called Willow, and it's a beautiful name Xx I think if you were were going for a doubled barreled name I'd go with Willow Ann, but if Ann/Anne is just the middle name, either are lovely Xxxx

Both are nice. If you are naming her for someone choose that spelling .I have hitherto always preferred Anne with an e for the A of GG reason ,because it is a little longer and warmer somehow and for prettiness reasons however my taste seems to have changed. I now prefer the clean cut and less fussy Ann ; it is more in keeping with current trends .

As long as your surname isn't tree or baum, Willow is nice.

Anne is feminine and to me, Ann is abrupt! Willow Anne is lovely!
