I’m really stuck on middle names I’m naming my little girl Maya but I’m stuck between Evie or Grace for a middle name which one sounds best?

Maya Grace - I think it flows better 🙂

Leeds2 · 07/01/2025 23:06

Grace. Too many "ups" and "downs" sound wise for Evie.

Freshflower · 07/01/2025 23:24

Maya Grace is lovely

Pumpkincarved · 07/01/2025 23:28

Grace - I agree with previous posters that it flows better. It’ll depend on your surname though

Yes, I think so as well. Evie is a lovely name but Maya Grace does flow better

Dartmoorcheffy · 07/01/2025 23:29

Grace. Evie doesn't flow properly with maya

MasterBeth · 07/01/2025 23:30

Depends on your surname.

Monty27 · 07/01/2025 23:33

You need the second name to begin with a consonant for flow IMHO.

Monty27 · 07/01/2025 23:37

And depends on the first letter of your surname .
Good thinking @MasterBeth @MK0703

Maya grace sounds lovely

HappydaysArehere · 08/01/2025 00:14

Grace sounds lovely as the middle name.

Ponoka7 · 08/01/2025 00:18

I agree with pp. The meanings of both names also flows.

HeeleighWay · 08/01/2025 01:18

Evie doesn't go with Maya

CaramelMcFrappe · 08/01/2025 01:26

Aw, I have an Evie Grace 😊 But agree Maya and Evie don’t go together very well.. Maya Grace is cute.

MumChp · 08/01/2025 01:26

Grace.

Grace

I think Grace for 2 reasons:

  • Maya is a bit of an unusual name, so it'd be a good idea to give her a more plain middle name so that if when she's older she'd rather have a plainer name she can
  • I personally don't like giving names that are normally short for something else (like Evie) rather than giving the proper name (like Evelyn) and shortening it in every day use
