Aibu to think we should be able to sea two adults in front, two rear facing kids in back . DS 4 has an axkid move. He and DP just don't have enough legroom at all in our astra. Anyone who extended rear faces kids in the UK please advise what car you drive.

I have a Axkid Minikid in my Qashqai, my DH can still sit in the passenger seat with car seat behind. But to be honest it’s tight.

the seat can be installed in extended leg room position but then there is no room in front seat.
Doesnt bother DS on current setting though and he is 5 in March.

I love my cars boot space and features but cabin space isn’t the best.

If you are on Facebook there are a number of ERF groups and this question comes up regularly so you could search up previous answers.

Do you have the Move installed on compact (pushed up to backrest of back seat) or extended leg room for child mode?

And is it in the reclined or upright position? At age 4 he doesn't need it reclined.

What can help apparently is taking the car seat out and putting the front seat in the position you want it, making sure it's not reclined, and then refitting the child seat because when you start with the amount of space you want available, it's easier to gauge where to put it.

Astras aren't that tiny. So unless he's being silly about the amount of legroom he needs, you ought to be able to fit an ERF seat behind it.

Another option might be to fit the Move in the centre seat if a support leg is allowed here.

What seat is other DC in? Is it an isofix one?
