Ex engaged...I feel shit

And I don't really know why. I split up with him. He was lovely but I felt like I'd sort of fallen out of love with him and he wasn't proactive enough for me although now I think maybe my expectations were too high.
I'm single, would like a partner.
Argghhhh

It's tough.
I think the best way is to remember that it's better to have loved and lost then not have loved at all.
Remember the good times and wish him well because if he can then you can too?

I get that it hurts that he's found someone and moved on before you. You're allowed to feel what you feel. But try and stay optimistic that your someone is still out there - this could be the year you meet them!

This too will pass. I felt weird when ex who I had ended it with told me he had a new partner and daughter - at our divorce hearing! Stung for a month or so, haven't thought about it since:)

Oh it’s hard OP. I left my now ex husband because he didn’t want kids. He strung me along as a maybe for years and as I was getting on a bit fertility wise I left. Yep, 18 months later he was in a new relationship and she was pregnant. They have had 3 kids now.

I got my baby too but it still smarts.

Like others have said, roll on the new year and all ut has to bring.
