Sent a note to my DS dad on how to take care of his conjunctivitis as we do not speak he goes through my dad as he's abusive threatening and controlling. He sent the note back with a man sticking his finger up... what on earth is that about. He is 44. However could have been his other DS (not mine) - 20 or his DD (18) also not mine.m as they also live there.

The easiest thing to do is to increase the politeness on your side. Printing NHS guidance and adding a note "DS has conjunctivitis, pharmacist advised to follow this" removes any of the patronising element while still giving advice.
