Posted in AIBU as I didn’t know what else to post in!

so, silly me put all the passports in the boiler cupboard, it leaked, now they are all fuc*ked.
renewed all off them last year,
when doing my daughters last year, they needed her birth certificate and mine, and it took ages, and was such a nightmare.
will I have to do this all over again even if it’s replacement not renewal?
4 passports all ruined, only myself to blame.
and yes, I know it was a stupid place to put them!

Here’s the link for replacing a damaged child passport (there’s a similar one for adult passports). Applying online is faster than by post so use that option.

Hopefully, as your daughter already has a passport this time the application won’t be so time-consuming and faffy.

I don’t know, but I just did mine online and it was super easy, I only had to upload a new photo (taken on my phone) and provide the numbers from the other passport. No other ID or countersignatories needed

They might ask you to post the damaged ones back, but it will be a renewal, so much faster than a first time application. It should all be doable online.
