Mine are relationship dilemmas (where the obvious answer isnt just to ltb) , sex and dating dilemmas, and gossip/tea spilling

More of those in 2025 please 🤭 x

My life is very uneventful, just revolves around my dd and my cat 😄 so I'm living vicariously through you all

I like ones where all the op has to do is say no. But never will.
Can you look after my dog my cat and 5 children. Just say no.

Ireallycouldntpossibly · 04/01/2025 17:35

Bridzillas. Please save the date of 29 February 2032 when we may or may not deign to invite you to our wedding .. but not your husband or kids. And are you able to play the viola in a string quartet? And/or do the catering? The Hen Do will be a week in Canberra. The wedding will last : days, when you’ll be expected to stay in a 5* hotel at your own cost. What do you mean who will look after your kids? Are you trying to ruin my day?

Am fascinated by entitlement.

VyeBrator · 04/01/2025 17:35

The ones where the OP puts a link to a Daily Mail story, slagging it off and its readers.

Then it gets pointed out to them that THEY too are a Daily Mail reader, and they try to deny it and start throwing their toys out of the pram 🤣🤣

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 04/01/2025 17:37

Anything about cheeky fuckers and their entitled antics

VyeBrator · 04/01/2025 17:37

And the one's where the OP's had someone knock at their door at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.

They didn't answer it, but they now want Mumsnet to tell them what the person might've wanted 🤦‍♀️

ludicrouslycapaciousbags · 04/01/2025 17:39

Should I go to A&E

PrincessHoneysuckle · 04/01/2025 17:39

Cf friend
Cf neighbour
Cf parking

Ireallycouldntpossibly · 04/01/2025 17:40

Also trampolines seemed to feature heavily a few years ago. “There’s a crowd of kids bouncing up and down outside my French windows .. their parents have placed the trampoline at the bottom of their 2 acre garden, right next to our shared fence, what should I do?”

Felt sorry for the OP but they were hilarious.

MajorCarolDanvers · 04/01/2025 17:41

Parking CF
general CF
bridezillas

thisoldcity · 04/01/2025 17:43

I love them all, but especially those happening in real time where there are updates as they phone their CF friend after taking mumsnet advice, or where the parking issue will come to a head later that day, or where they are asking about what they should do that weekend about dh and his 'hobby' friends all coming for a CF brunch that op has to cook.

Or the "DH hasn't come home" threads.... they're usually quite telling.
I like a CF friend story too, and seriously wonder how these CFs get away with it.
I like an is-it-or-isn't real? thread
Comedy "clearly not read the room" threads eg " I have been 'gifted' eleventy zillion £s", help me with this oh-so-difficult dilemma
Some news-related threads are good if it's something I'm interested in.

wizzywig · 04/01/2025 17:48

Ones where the op returns to tell us a happy ending. I give them an internal 'get in girl!'.

wizzywig · 04/01/2025 17:49

@Yerroblemom1923 I'm the opposite with 'dh hasn't come' threads. I wonder why they are worrying about a grown adult. I think I must be a cow.

brentwoods · 04/01/2025 17:50

parking and CFs. Always amazed by what people dare to do.

ThejoyofNC · 04/01/2025 17:53

Greedy inheritance grabbers, without a doubt.

Calypsocuckoo · 04/01/2025 17:54

I like ones where the poster is annoyed with their DH or DP, especially lighthearted and petty ones (spoony fucker). I also like threads about mild annoyances and first world problems. I also enjoy ones on how often to wash towels, bedding and pyjamas or petty small but divisive issues like whether to wear knickers under pyjamas or let a tradesperson use your loo.

basically I like things that are petty and silly and lighthearted.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 04/01/2025 18:09

I love a good woo or mystery thread. 9 times out 10 there's a rational explanation of course, but the missing ironing board did my head in.

I love the way some posters fall over themselves to be the most rational person ever, and that anyone who says they've seen or experienced anything odd are delusional, gullible, naive and thick as mince. Those are definitely my favourite 😁

BBQPete · 04/01/2025 18:17

Newhi · 04/01/2025 16:21

I like the ones where the poster is being unreasonable, everyone agrees they’re unreasonable, yet the poster isn’t willing to accept it. I’m always impressed by the wild drip feeding and lack of self awareness.

This, in terms of entertainment, and making me just shake my head that anyone can be that lacking in self awareness.

I do also like the rare ones where the OP turns out to be a reasonable person who is actually really asking if they ABU, and reflects on all the answers and considers the other side. Sort of what the question really means.

I misread this, and thought this was turning into a thread about other peoples bedroom lives, which I love to be nosy about

Yes these for me too!! They keep saying “yes but”
