Noisy eating

I think this is genuine LTB territory

DH is sat eating a salad. I can hear every crunch and munch. He’s also breathing heavily whilst doing it.

We’ve both been off work since mid December and I think nearly 3 weeks of this has driven me insane.

WIBU if I shoved him under the patio.

Mine has mentioned every day ooh it's cold today .Yes it's called winter ! We have had the same time off back to work Monday. If there is room can I put him under your patio as well ?

Lillipops · 04/01/2025 15:16

Nope, I've just had to leave the room after DSS was slurping down a bowl

I sympathise, husband has mentioned the fucking weather every time he comes in from somewhere ,and he is a loud eater….driving me nuts ! We don’t have a patio but am considering under the decking ,if deep enough 😬

He has now started telling me how cold it's going to be overnight and apparently me saying I'm not worried as I'm not sleeping outside I will be in bed with a duvet over me is me being bloody sarcastic

Cattery · 08/01/2025 16:33

We are currently in “dressing gown of doom” territory. Yes you’ve got a fucking cold! And why the nose-blowing last night when I’m eating my dinner??? Give me strength before I get into the car and just drive away

TipsyKoala · 08/01/2025 16:41

Yes my husband too! I've noticed it over the last year or 2. I don't know if he's changed the way he eats or if I never used to notice it as we've been together 15 years but it's just loud chomping, slurping and heavy breathing in and out as he munches. I can't bear it and do wonder how I can live with another 40 odd years of it.

username299 · 08/01/2025 16:42

Can you move away?

barbarahunter · 08/01/2025 16:44

I see your crunch, munch and breathing heavily, @Iwrotethelyricstoaxlf and I raise you my DH crunching, munching, breathing heavily and every so often making an 'mmm' sound all at the same time which he then always denies doing when called out on it. 😡

MaryGreenhill · 08/01/2025 17:00

Under the patio he goes 🤣

BertieBotts · 08/01/2025 17:18

Send him to the GP for a sleep study. I am convinced the whole breathing noisily while eating thing is caused when people can't breathe through their noses, which is related to overlarge tonsils or adenoids and usually causes sleep apnoea as well.
