I don't agree. Has every single person who was complicit (authority figures, those who knew what was happening) been charged or just the rapists?

Edited

You don’t agree that carrying out the recommendations would be a good thing and you want another enquiry.

which findings do you disagree with?

MoggyP · 03/01/2025 14:58

More to the point, why didn't they do anything when they were in government?

The scandal ran from 1997 to 2013

I think everyone knows the answer to that.

I didn’t expect you to agree. It’s too much like common sense and it doesn’t fit your agenda.

Rather than implementing the recommendations now, you want another inquiry that could easily take antoher 7 years to complete?

Has every single person complicit been charged? How many knew at local level but turned a blind eye?

I think the victims voices need to be listened to. Maybe they were unhappy with the initial inquiry?

I think Elon is extremely weird and very brilliant and in no way agree with everything he does or says. But it is great he is using his voice and pulpit to draw attention to the prolonged and neglected horror of Asian child rape and torture gangs in dozens of English towns: a horror that was obviously ignored and fostered by our elites. The girls and their families paid an enormous price: the elites who allowed it to happen on their watch have had no consequences. No justice, no peace.

Chainzreaction · 03/01/2025 16:04

No. You insinuated that younger children were also attacked by this group that this discussion is about. The youngest reported have been tweens or 10 & 11 so I'm asking you for links as I hadn't read of any younger . So please post your evidence.

No, I didn't. I didn't insinuate anything.

You said You are either for or against the raping & drugging of tweets

I did not say I was referring to solely the victims of this gang. I'm not. Unlike you, I am against the drugging and raping of anyone, not just the 10 and 11 year olds who have already been victims of this.

HTH

Why don't you care about their older victims?

Why don’t you engage in a meaningful discussion of the facts instead of constantly asking the same rhetorical question?

Tell me…

You can research GMP and the conduct of local councils, read the 2019 Oldham council report and draw your own conclusions. Some of us have been - and continue to be - outraged and sickened about this since the 1990s.

localnotail · 03/01/2025 16:12

Elon Musk can go fuck himself. I'm sure there are problems in South Africa he can be sorting out right now. Busybody K-head.

They were unhappy but not in the way you imply

In a joint statement from Professor Alexis Jay, and the Victims and Survivors Consultative Panel, it said: “We are deeply disappointed that the government has not accepted the full package of recommendations made in the final report. In some instances, the government has stated that a number of them will be subject to consultations, despite the extensive research and evidence-taking which the Inquiry carried out over seven years

@Chainzreaction please can I have a copy of a letter that you have sent to your MP. Surely we should all be doing this and if you have one you can share that will
enable us all to do our bit just like you. Surely you want that? Go on you’ve had about an hour now to knock one up find one in your sent items.

So am I. This discussion is about the grooming gang & subsequent inquiry which is currently in the news. The youngest victims were 10 & 11. You mentioned children under 10 & I asked for evidence as you insinuated they were abused also.
You never mentioned this was in a general context. Be more specific in future.
Most normal people are opposed to the rape & abuse of all people regardless of age or gender.
There is no grey area. Kudos to every person regardless of their position or influence calling out rape & abuse.

@corby why don't you collaborate with your little friend & compose one together. You both had an hour but I doubt either one of you care enough to bother. You are more outraged at EM calling out government rather than write to your MP. Shame on you.

Yes. Its a shame that Musk, the OP, and people like them aren't siding with the victims.

Why do they want to delay implementing measures to protect kids by having another years-long inquiry instead?

And shame on you for being a liar, liar pants on fire!

You‘ve done nothing but lie and use these victims for your own twisted political agenda. You are disgraceful.

I don't know either. Not sure what I would
Have to Google.

You made the comment, surely you can say what you meant

placemats · 03/01/2025 16:24

Chainzreaction · 03/01/2025 14:56

Well the tories themselves want an enquiry. It's labours right as opposition to demand change & keep the pressure on the party in power until that change is implemented.

So are you saying that when the Conservatives were in power and the 7 year report came out in 2022, the Labour Party should have called for a national inquiry?

itsgettingweird · 03/01/2025 16:25

Most normal people are opposed to the rape & abuse of all people regardless of age or gender.

So why did you keep typing tweens.

It was your words. I know you have problems reading and answering questions but you've tied yourself in such semantic knots of anger you aren't engaging in the discussion and are choosing to get more annoyed when presented with facts.

Is that what happened with your letters you sent? Is that why they aren't being shred so we can send them too?

DuncinToffee · 03/01/2025 16:25

The OP wasn't aware of the IICSA inquiry until it was pointed out to them on their first thread
