Last day of the holidays here for us. It's cold but a lovely sunny day and I feel like I should take the kids out somewhere but my get up and go has got up and gone! Tween is in his room on his phone, toddler is in front of CBeebies. We've done a few bits over the holidays, lots of Christmas bits, cinema, panto, lots of nice walks but I really need to crack on and get some sorting out done in the house.

I've told myself January is a time for hibernation and it doesn't matter if we take it steady but equally I end up feeling bad for not doing more while we have the chance. Soon it'll be back to school and work.

Is anyone else feeling like this?

Yep definitely. If it’s been full on I think days in are fine. Although for some unknown reason I just suggested taking our four kids swimming. What a mistake. Might get a pub lunch instead

Absolutely no reason to go out. I don't get on with this belief that some seem to have that you've got to go out and do something else you've 'wasted the day '. The best of days come sometimes from relaxing in your home, pottering about, kids playing etc. chill and enjoy some time at home 😊

Yep, need to take the decorations down and clean. But I just can’t be bothered so I’m watching crappy daytime tv and death scrolling.

Managed to get the decs down on New Year's Day but there's still random piles of Christmas crap all over the place. I need to do a food shop later but I think it's just because it's the end of the holidays I feel obliged to take them out. They don't even care, it's freezing 😂
