Too much sugar

Hello.
I ate a lot of chocolate one evening recently and stated up later than usual - the following few days, I felt ill. Namely, fatigue, brain fog and nauseous. I was wondering why I felt like this, as I've felt like it before. I wonder if it's called a sugar hangover (as it feels like a typical hangover), or something else. I should add, that I take 50mg of Sertraline. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Any thoughts?

Sugar crash is a thing. If you don't make a habit of it I think it's fine.

Well only one way to find out.

eat a load of chocolate tonight and see how you feel tomorrow 😂

obviously you’ll need a control so also try the same but with haribo, then cauliflower.

to make it statistically significant you’ll need to repeat each at least 3-5 times.

I thought studies had shown that kids didn’t get ‘hyper’ due to sugar, but more that parents had given them the expectation that they’d be hyper so they subconsciously acted up and parents were more likely to again subconsciously think the sugar had had an effect.

Sugar hangover? Not a thing. I admire your research though!

Dumping syndrome. It can occur without the diarrhea and people think it only occurs after weight loss surgery, I had my one and only dumping syndrome proper after doing a low carb diet for about 4 months, very strict and then I ate a bag of chips, I thought I was going to need an ambulance. Again no upset stomach but I couldnt see, couldnt stand, couldnt walk, sweating, palpitations.

I paid for those bloody chips!!!

I have now had weight loss surgery and very occasionally if Ive eaten too much sugary stuff I get dizzy and weak.

I also find sugary things, including starchy carbs increases pain in my feet and swelling.
