AIBU to use these candles the whole year?

I got a set of these LED candles just before Christmas ( set of 3)
I love them how they look and mimic the flame.
I know they are festive ornaments however I searched everywhere for a similar style so I can use the whole year, only I can find is pillar shape or glass style which is understandable really as the trees are Xmassy.
Will I be AIBU to keep them on during the year and not to pack them away even they look festive?

AIBU to use these candles the whole year?

Edit - the smaller one needs battery changing hence the flame seems weaker..

If you like them use them. Life is too short to not.

Your house, your candles, your choice. If you want to do it, there are no reasons why you shouldn't. Enjoy

I personally wouldn't as they're very Christmassy.
But if you love them then you absolutely should!

Clearly you need no assistance in being unnecessarily bitchy.
Happy New Year!

I bought LED glass jar candles as xmas decorations three years ago, and they have been out ever since. Go for it!

Januarryblues · 01/01/2025 11:52

@Lanzarotelady well nope but I usually pack everything xmassy neatly away..

Did someone piss on your cornflakes?

I think they look more Autumnal/Wintery than Christmassy OP. They just look like trees rather than decorated Christmas trees. Use them!

Why would you ever be unreasonable to do something completely harmless in your own home that makes you happy? The entire purpose of your home is to be your space for living how you want! Enjoy it however you like 😀

I agree with all who say use them all year, if you like them. I was just given some ceramic pumpkins that I'm certain were meant to be seasonal decor for autumn, but I love pumpkins, so I'll probably leave them out permanently.

Incidentally, I will also listen to Christmas music any time of year I feel like it. Who made the 'rule' that we have to limit ourselves based on the calendar date? If it's not hurting anyone, I'll do what I want when I want!

Your home decor, your choice
Would I? No

No, I just can't understand starting a post about a candle and if to leave it up all year or not, can people not make their own decisions?

TeenLifeMum · 01/01/2025 12:23

I’d say they’re too Christmassy but I get it, I have bought a gorgeous lantern that sparkles this Christmas and I love it. I’m sad to put it away and dh even suggested it could be a “winter” decoration but it has carol singers inside 😂. It’ll go away then I’ll be super happy 1 Dec when it comes out again.

nogginatemycat · 01/01/2025 12:38

You can leave them up as long as you like, but for me I would not do unless I owned a pound shop or had them on a cheap market stall.

GiddyRobin · 01/01/2025 12:41

If it makes you happy, then I don't see why not! I'll be leaving up a few bits that are festive, and I also have some Halloween-y bits still up, too. They make me smile so they stay! Doesn't matter how festive they seem. And like a pp said, I also listen to Christmas music whenever I fancy! Carols from King's is beautiful.

Dunkou · 01/01/2025 13:15

Of course leave them out all year round if you like them.

I've had one of my xmas tree decorations hanging in the kitchen for about 10 years as I love it so much.
