Sil has just texted me to ask if she can sleep here tonight (she is 16 and likes spending weekends here) Can't think why ?
Dp bought me a lovely vanilla slice that I was going to have later this evening with a hot chocolate ,as soon as I got her text I knew I would have to share it with her ..so I went and got it and shovelled it down ,whilst browsing mumsnet it was nice

I'd have eaten it in secret in bed later on! But no YANBU for wanting ot eat it by yourself.

This reminds me of a ridiculous event of my childhood.

My mother had made a delicious chocolate cake. My cousin and his 'floozy' rang to say they were going to drop in. My mother ordered my siblings and I to eat the whole cake before my cousin arrived about half an hour later so that they couldn't have any of it.

It was delicious but really my mother was being bonkers.

In your case, I'd probably eat it myself if it's quite small.
