I used this this month , first time. I had a £100 advance .

Ive just been paid - first month so I’m unsure of the exact amount but it looks like I’ve been paid what was expected per month , I can’t imagine it being £100 more . So I don’t think the £100 has been taken ?

How do you see if it has ? On the app it just shows me what I’ve had . On my payslip the only deductions it has are my tax , pension , etc .

How is it usually taken ? I assumed it would be that I would receive £100 less than what is on my personal tax account , but I haven’t .

It doesn't show on your payslip, you should receive a statement via email or text to say it's been deducted. Mine does it via Wagestream, a similar app.

If yours has the option to save too, would recommend. I save £25 a month and don't see it as it doesn't hit my bank at all.

Your payroll will have a cut-off, probably earlier due to it being December (ours was the 15th) ~ I'd assume if you withdrew it after the cut off, it'll be deducted next month instead.

On our payslips it comes up as 'taxable deduction' or something.

Ah yes ! It was after the cut off !

I’ve put it by anyway , as I thought it it was a mistake and overlooked it would be took next month so I’ve got it aside for that so I’m not short.

i don’t like the idea of having access to this - I live in my overdraft because I was given it during a hard time and couldn’t resist , I don’t want to get in to the same habit with my wages . I only took it because I left a weekly paid job for this monthly paid one so over Christmas I was a little short . Certainly don’t want to get into a habit.

I thought I'd be really tempted with it too. Weirdly, I'm not! Since I switched my bank to Monzo and set up pots that my wages were automatically sorted into each month, I'm so much better with my money.

Thank you !

I contacted them , payroll closed early due to Christmas so it will be taken next month . Glad I put it by ! X
