Spent all night in a and e Saturday, went in with stomach pain and blood every time I had a poo, 16 weeks pregnant and was so worried they said I have diverticulitis but I'm still in so much pain despite having antibiotics pain relief and laxatives tmi but I haven't had a poo since Sunday morning about 3 am ! What can I do to help this pass quickly it's so uncomfortable! Meant to be doing fun stuff with my kids in the holiday but I'm laid in bed can't do much at all !

Sounds awful, sorry you are having to deal with this.

So, is it the constipation is causing the pain? I’m wondering if they would prescribe and administer an enema?

Sugar free jelly sweets. Aldi sell them.

I'd go back and ask to be examined again.

How could they diagnose diverticulitis without doing a colonoscopy?
Sounds like you need to be seen again. If you are passing blood (assuming it is definitely not from the vagina) it is more likely to be haemorrhoids. But definitely needs proper investigation.

Thank you for your replies I am feeling so much better today I've got a bit of a belly ache rather than horrendous pains I'm hoping it stays that way now xx
