Hi I'm after some advice please from those who have any experience of pip.

I have claimed pip for a few years now as I have a chronic health condition.

I had a letter back in september telling me after a recent assessment that they had decided I'm should be on enhanced daily living instead of standard they also said in the letter that they owe me money and I shall be contacted about this money again and they will contact me.

I waited patiently and then decided to contact them beginning of this month to see if there was an update when the money owed would be paid.

I was told it was with a money manager and to wait a bit longer. I was advised to phone back in a couple of weeks.

I phoned pip on the 20th December, after being transferred and moved from person to person I finally spoke to a lady that informed me that she has now released the payment and it will be with me ASAP, however to be aware of Christmas day and boxing day bank holiday etc.

This money owed has not landed in my bank account yet!

Does anyone know how many days this could take?

Allowing for weekends and bank holidays you're still within the time frame given.

Thanks for this but I was not given a time frame. What is the time frame?

You mentioned 5 working days, I think the previous poster took that to be the timeframe.

If it was approved on 20th, then allowing for bank holidays and weekends, today is day 5 which is why they said you were within the timeframe.

Misunderstanding.

I would call again on Jan 2nd.

I've read that it can take approx 3 to 5 working days for PIP payments to clear - you're still within that, if you account for the two weekends and the two bank holidays.

20th - call
(21st/22nd weekend)
23rd - 1 day passed
24th - 2 days passed
(25th/26th bank holiday)
27th - 3 days passed
(28th/29th weekend)
30th - 4 days passed/today

Phone and chase up for a more definite answer.
