Why does he leave the knives and forks in the sink to soak?

FGS - finally, i find a thread running with ishooows close to my heart and all the chat is about trolling. pah. cant we moan about soaking??? please?

Joash · 04/05/2008 23:32

yeah - this is the first thread that lets me obsess about the way my lot do the dishes.

wessexgirl · 04/05/2008 23:32

Yes, trolling definitely, but in a more amusing way than usual imo. Johnso would be a brilliant soap character.

tyaca · 04/05/2008 23:38

oh, please. just a little bit of troll-feeding??? like, we could all list items that dh/p's are blind to. and we could discuss the psychology behind soaking, and how otherwise logical bright humans get the most bastard ideas about the order to wash up in. how you cant complain cause you're meant to just be happy, and also cause you really dont want to NAG

tyaca · 04/05/2008 23:39

happy that they;re doing the dishes, i mean, not happy in general.

Ledodgy · 04/05/2008 23:49

Oh bloody hell have I fed a troll? I blame the wine!

kitbit · 05/05/2008 18:27

When dh does it he does a fab job, but never swills the sink out so it-s full of old cornflakes and gunk and greasy bubbles, and if I don't notice it goes all gacky by the morning. Ick. But he DOES load and unload the dishwasher all the time which I hate and am crap at so I really can't complain about the odd squelchy lump of goo in the plughole.

boak

kitbit · 05/05/2008 18:29

Where the trolly bit?? Or troll-ey? Or trolley? agh . Does it matter when we're actually all enjoying whingeing about grotty pans?

Mellieandmin · 05/05/2008 18:37

I regularly introduce my husband to the white items in the kitchen, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine. When I challenge cups, saucers, plates etc left by the sink the answer is:

I did not know whether the dishwasher had clean or dirty stuff in. WELL OPEN THE BLOODY DOOR THEN!

shouldbeworking · 05/05/2008 19:03

My Dh does not have a washing up technique.....does that exclude me from this thread?!!!!

shouldbeworking · 05/05/2008 19:06

We have a dishwasher because of this.. so he now has no dshwasher technique either.!!!!!

johnso · 06/05/2008 11:08

I am not a troll, mmj and the other one- don't post if you don't like my subject.
Plenty of others do!!!!

This is why new MNers don't always post, too afraid of being voted by committee of being a troll. Shame, quite like the site otherwise.

Johnso, think the thread is v amusing.
