Why does he leave the knives and forks in the sink to soak?

tmmJanitor- having read your link i see what you are getting at.

Johnso- is all your family life like this? or are there aspects of your relationship that you don't have to be the boss of?

we can all have small digs at our dps in a lighthearted way and thats ok, but if there is so much that you feel that you have to inspect and check up on, does this indicate a control issue on your part?

SheikYerbouti · 02/05/2008 14:22

Didn';t realise Johnso was mental

Her poor DH.

(mine's crap at washing up and housework, but is goo at most other stuff. Plus I have v low standards )

johnso · 02/05/2008 14:34

It's all relative. My dh never does the dishes or leaves anything to soak. He did them last week for once and said "I've done your dishes for you" (yeah right half the dishes more like)
His certificate and medal are in the post....

johnso · 02/05/2008 14:39

And you are one fiesty lady mmj

Rosylily · 02/05/2008 14:40

I think I need to be more demanding too. How do people make their hubbies try harder?

johnso · 02/05/2008 14:45

Just ask, Rose.

johnso · 02/05/2008 14:46

What's going to happen is no one will bother to post on threads started by johnso.
And who could be bothered to start threads that are just a wind up all the time?

scottishmummy · 02/05/2008 21:50

mumeeee · 02/05/2008 22:00

YABU. At least he is doing the washing up. Just let him get on and do it, you do not need to check up on him.

scottishmummy · 02/05/2008 22:03

johnso your domestic situation causes you much consternation eg bland sauce, soirées,washing up etc

summerpudding · 02/05/2008 22:07

after arguing many times with dh, then i haved decided not to ask him to do any housework because it just waste of energy. i know doesnt matter how many times i ask him to do it,he will not do it anyway. men are clever, arent they!

ilovewashingnappies · 02/05/2008 22:08

Something I will NEVER say

"Oh no, he's hoovering now. Something else to check up on!"

Are you for real?

PaninoPan · 02/05/2008 22:12

johnso - every sane person's nightmare.

bonkerz · 02/05/2008 22:14

My Dh does the leaving yucky water n the sink too. he also insists on washing up BUT thinks just dipping stuff in the bowl cleans it! What normally happens is i follow ten minutes later and throw everything back in a bowl of fresh water and do it all over again when he is not looking!

scottishmummy · 02/05/2008 22:14

or troubled by bland sauces and diffident dh
