Does it sound more like norovirus or food poisoning?

Yesterday teatime I started with severe back ache which felt muscular. Within several hours I was vomiting and could not keep anything down. All night I had horrendous stomach cramps but digestive wise everything seems fine, it was just being sick over and over from about 8pm-4am. Nothing since. I have no fever or chills just feel very weak today.

I have a 7 week old baby and I’m worried about passing it to them.

I know it is impossible to say but does it sound like norovirus or food poisoning in any of your experience? I’ve only been sick a couple of times in my life so don’t really have a benchmark and usually when I have been it’s been D&V not vomiting alone. I would just get on with it but as I say I am worried about passing it to baby

With the back pain and abdominal pain, I wonder if you might have kidney stones or gallstones, both are more likely to get postpartum.

Norovirus in my experience was like the flu with explosive from both ends 😟

Seek advice from NHS 111 not Dr Quack on mumsnet
